Cooking for Uni with Brighton and Hove Food Partnership
Friday 21st June 9.30 - 4.30
A class about how to cook low-cost, tasty meals to keep any student replete, happy and nourished during those first few months of independent living.
This full-day’s class is aimed at young people about to leave home for the first time. Experienced cookery leader (and mum of teenagers) Anna assumes a tight budget, limited kitchen equipment and even less patience for spending time in the kitchen when there’s much to do elsewhere – and she still comes up with plenty of possibilities: getting creative with tomato sauce, taking the boring out of basics such as eggs, potatoes and rice, and even adding some ambition with a cake recipe or two.
Participants will cook and eat three delicious meals and some snacks on this course – and graduate with some great recipes to take away. The recipes are adaptable to most dietary requirements, please specify when booking and contact us if you would like to discuss.
Tickets for this event include:
-
professional cookery tuition
-
all ingredients and equipment
-
hot and cold drinks throughout the session
-
three light meals at our sociable dining table plus snacks and food to takeaway
-
all recipes from the class.
